Since 2024, I have been working as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Vale Institute of Technology, focusing on 34 critical and priority plant species in the Cangas of the Carajás National Forest. Given that monitoring and managing these species are essential prerequisites for sustainable iron ore mining in the region, my role involves developing demographic monitoring protocols, tracking populations, and conducting Population Viability Analyses (PVA) for four selected critical species: Ipomoea cavalcantei, Carajasia cangae, Parapiqueria cavalcantei and Daphnopsis filipedunculata.
